Why Buddhism (for the social)

Buddhism is a very wonderful religion to follow, just like honey whose taste we can only know after we have tasted it. Today, there are a number of reasons for promoting Buddhism in India:
* it is a lost tradition of India which has a lot of historical importance
* ground of buddhism in India is empty
* it was first religion to preach against casteism and gender inequality
* since its ground is empty, a caste free religion can be set up and it can be used as a force and means to drive towards end of casteism in India
* it is very much compatible with the scientific values and since its ground is empty, scientific temper can be promoted through this and a drive against superstitions can be made
* it is a religion very similar to hinduism and hence will be easy to propagate in India
* in historical times after its coming, it had forced the reduction of casteism in hinduism, but after it was lost and as its influence decreased, casteism in hinduism became rigid again, hence it will lead to reduction of casteism in all religions
* it has the possibility of large social base and capability to include people of all castes in India
* even if superstitions do not end completely, they will certainly be reduced
* ground of Buddhism in India is empty for now, But it will not remain for ever, if the golden opportunity is lost today, then it might never be found again
* it has a very rich heritage and a lot of diversity and enough to sustain itself and grow
* Buddhism has become popular all over the world and it is lost in its birthplace, we the people among which it evolved now have to learn it from others, this is a matter of shame for all of us
